About
I was born in Mexico City, August 24th 1980. I lived there until I graduated from grade school. It was a pretty fun place to be at, but the pollution forced us out of the city.
My family decided to move to Cuernavaca, which is only 45 minutes south of Mexico City. This was a great city to grow at, it has the best climate in the world (therefore its slogan “The never ending spring city”). I attended the Colegio Morelos for a year, but it turned out not to be the best school for me. I changed to the Mary Mount and I was the first generation of Men in it! (be it good or bad). I stayed there for two years because I wanted to go to a more technical school for high school. For 10th grade I moved to ITESM Cuernavaca where I was hooked for the school till I graduated.
I decided to study Computer Engineering and after one semester in Cuernavaca I decided to move to Monterrey. Where the mother branch of the school is located at. That is when all my moving started… I lived between Monterrey and Cuernavaca then for a year in Austin, TX and then I did an intership for a month with Microsoft at Redmond, WA. It was all crazy, I couldn’t stay put! I was very lucky to get a job at Microsoft where I’m working right now. I moved to Seattle on August 2004 and been there since.
Traveling
One of my passions in life is traveling. I travel every time I get a chance. I have been in many places but there are still many more to visit! My favorite places include: Cinque Terre (Italy), Alaska, Prague, San Francisco and New York. But how can I leave my beautiful country out of it, Mexico if full of wonderful and magical places. I love the Tepozteco (near home), the Pacific coast, the Copper Canyon, the Mayan and Aztec ruins, and I could go on and on. There is nothing like Mexico!
Movies
One of my other passions are movies, as most of my friends will tell you. I collect DVDs and as you can see from this site I have my weekly movie news. I don’t know why I like movies so much, I guess it is because they take you somewhere far away and let you see what other people see of the world. Also as my friends and family can tell you I can love from the most stupid movie to the most brilliant executed movie. I have a weird taste for movies, I should say. I don’t like Braveheart but I like Dumb and Dumber, but I also love movies as Cinema Paradiso or Adaptation. My favorite movie is Bettlejuice. So now you know what the prefect present is for me… but ask me first because I might have it!
Cooking
My newest passion is cooking. I’ve been trying to do new stuff, specially mexican food. I try to experience any type of food and wine. Cheese parties have become regular at home!
